• My Motivation

Being a Therapist found me later in life. My experiences in nursing school and working in the medical field helped me realize that I wanted to do more than heal people's bodies. I recognized that there was a connection between mental health and a person's desire to heal, or even live at times. When personal tragedy occurred in the form of losing my significant other in a motorcycle accident, it not only impacted me, but my family and our community. The challenges we faced encouraged me to go back to school so I could learn to help others dealing with similar challenges. I quickly learned there wasn't enough help or availability to mental health care, family support services, and direction that would assist families in healing from tragedies.

  • Education

I graduated from Florida State University in 2013 with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) with a Clinical emphasis. I completed my clinical internships with the Veterans Health Administration in Gainesville, Florida and with DISC youth services in Tallahassee, Florida.

I attended Western Kentucky University for my Bachelors degree. I earned my Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies in 2011 with majors in Psychology, Sociology, and Consumer and Family Sciences.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee with 14 years of professional work experience. I help clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, grief, trauma and abuse as well as other issues that contribute to mental health challenges.
